Just a few reminders for the day!

Make sure to play the SoBe game daily!  The way the coupons are set up right now, you can print 4 coupons per link, but once those are printed, you can print no more from that computer no matter if you win again (I am not positive the link will work on another computer).  SoBe has said that we should be able to print coupons each time we win and that they are working on resolving the problem.  Free item coupons are sent in the mail for each win - takes 4-6 weeks.

Where to use these coupons?  Target is a great place this week!  SoBe is on sale for 10 for $10 and triggers a $5 gift card when you buy 10.  Be aware that two flavors are not included!  Check the tag to be sure you get the right ones. 

Kroger is another great place to use these SoBe BOGO Free coupons.  Select SoBe is on sale for $.88 each!

Kroger (and affiliate stores) has their Summer of Savings instant win game!  I won a free Bob Evans side dish - you know, the kind that is refrigerated and then heated in the microwave.  Yum! I can play again on July 4th when a new prize pool starts.  What have YOU won?

Kroger Game Problem and Resolution

I was so excited to win at the Kroger Summer of Savings game last week!  Imagine my disappointment when I kept getting an error message saying that my free Bob Evans Side Dish coupon could not be loaded to my card.  Those are so yummy!

Well, I contacted the company.  Today I got a response!  They apologized for the error and assured me that when I logged in again, the coupon would be waiting for me and would be ready to be loaded to my card.  They were right!  Way to go, Kroger!  Way to stand behind your promotion!

Kroger Tiples are BACK!

Goodness gracious! Triple coupons at Kroger AGAIN!  Here are some details:

Yet again, I’m excited to share that Kroger is running their Triple Coupon Promotion in select Ohio & West Virginia stores starting tomorrow (3/25) through Sunday, 3/28/10! I am especially excited because I have been out of town and haven’t been to Kroger yet this week.
Here is how the Kroger Triple Coupon Promo Works:
Coupons up to and including $0.50 will triple to $1.50. If your store doubles up to $0.99, coupons from $0.51-0.99 will continue to double. If your store does not double over $0.50 that will still be the case.
This promo runs Thursday (3/25) through Sunday (3/28). There is no limit on the number of coupons you can use, and internet printables WILL also triple provided they have unique serial numbers (which is almost always the case unless someone is making illegal copies).
As I mentioned, a large area of Ohio and a small part of WV is included in this promo. Cincinnati and Dayton stores are unfortunately *not* included.

Kroger Triple Coupon Matchups

So - Kroger triples ends on Sunday.  Make sure you print coupons and take advantage of it!  For nearly all coupons, you will be able to print two per computer.  Some coupons can be printed from several different sites so you can print quite a few of each.  Remember to check how many "like" coupons your Kroger allows - mine only allows 3 per transaction.  Also, check out the ecoupons for more savings (cellfire.com, shortcuts.com, upromise.com).

Many coupons will say "Do Not Double or Triple."  This phrase is to protect the store from being forced to double or triple.  Most stores ignore this line.  If the  barcode starts with a "5" then it will automatically double or triple unless the store has programmed their computers otherwise.  The manufacturer still only pays face value - the local store eats the double/triple amount.  If the barcode starts with a "9" then it will not automatically double or triple.

Oh how wonderful!  I had been hearing chatter about some Kroger stores doing triple coupons this weekend but I have been stuck in my house (my van is still REALLY snowed in).  A wonderful friend emailed me to tell me that YES!  Our local Kroger was participating!

Kroger is doubling all manufacturer coupons (that are double/triple eligible - the barcode starts with "5") up to $.50 through Sunday.  Local folks, remember that our Kroger only accepts 3 like coupons per transaction so if you have a lot of coupons for something, you may need to do separate trips.

I just got back from a trip to my local Kroger.  In the bag I found a flier promoting a one day sale!  On Tuesday, December 1st, my Kroger is offering 50% off (with card) Kellogg's cereal and bars, Keebler or Sunshine cookies and crackers, and Kashi cereal and crackers - select varieties.

It seems as though my morning sickness has been in high gear these past couple weeks and couple that with a toddler and a non-functioning washing machine and, well, you have a royal disaster as a house.  I've spent the past two days getting laundry caught up so it isn't literally hanging everywhere.  I've started finding the floor in most rooms!

Here are a few quick deals I found today that may interest you.  I have one question for all of you first though - have you had any problem finding the "free after rebate" items at your local Rite Aid?  I haven't found the higher dollar ones in several months now and I asked a chashier today.  I was searching specifically for the Benevia (a $2 moneymaker with coupon).  She said they searched all morning and realized that none came on the truck.  Hmm....  how can that be - each time there is a rebate offer....  even the hangtag is gone and it was there just a week or so ago.

Kroger Deals and Halloween Freebies

 Now, on to Halloween.  We don't really celebrate Halloween here.  I really don't like the scary aspect and the greed aspect.  I don't mind costumes, just not gory ones or sexy ones.  I mean, what's up with all the costumes that go down to size 2T that look like stripper witches?  Ick!  Anyway, when we decorate, we use a harvest theme.  We do give out candy.  Baby does dress up (just wait til I post the pics from this year - he's so stinkin cute!).  Trick or Treating around here is only one hour.  There are many options for activities such as community parades and church parties.

Kroger Matchups, KMart Update, Coupons, and Organics

Here are some great coupons and deals for this week!

• Last week, Rachael Ray did a feature on coupon usage.  She has a page on her site devoted to exclusive coupons and great deals.  Check it out!

• Like Wheat Thins?  Snag this great coupon!  It is a Bricks coupon, so use your back button to print twice!

•  For all of you Kroger shoppers out there, Coupon Mommie has a fantastic list of matchups for this week!  Stretch that budget!
• Coupon Mommie also has a great list of natural/organic coupons.
  

•  P&G has a magazine now that focuses on fashion and beauty.  This magazine can have even more P&G coupons!  Go to the site and preview and subscribe now!
  

•  KMart is offering super doubles again this week where they double coupons up to $2.  There have been many rumors flying about and I wanted to clear things up.
• KMart is not doubling just P&G coupons but all coupons.
• Many local ads did not mention doubles even though they are participating plus many employees have no idea until after the event has started.  I emailed KMart and inquired and learned that mine IS participating.
• Some stores are not sticking to the past 10-coupon limit.  Try it at your store and see!
  

A Look Ahead

Well, my sweet little baby is officially 11 months old!  Ack!  Time to start planning his first birthday!  This year has simply flown by.  We celebrated by driving in to Pittsburgh to see a Pirates game, which, surprisingly, they WON!  I just love this city - it is so beautiful and has so much to offer.

Now, on to the deals.  I am not too impressed with the deals this week.  As you probably have noticed, since it is a holiday weekend, there were no coupons in the Sunday paper.  That's ok.  Use this time to print out coupons and get yourself all organized for next week.  Kroger does seem to have some good deals plus you can look for school supplies being discounted even further this week at Target.

Just in the nick of time - cheese is on sale!  We just finished our freezer stockpile of shredded cheese.  Kroger has a 10 for $10 sale going this week.  You can snag even greater savings by adding in coupons.  Some items of note with current coupon deals:

• Country Crock 15oz
• Betty Crocker cake mix
• Hunt's pasta sauce and ketchup
• Hefty One Zip storage bags
• Bounty single roll paper towels

Also, if you didn't happen to get enough cereal during the Mega Sale or Rite Aid's $1.99 sale, you get 3 half gallons of milk free when you buy 3 participating Kellogg's cereal, Keebler cookies, or Keebler crackers.   Note the limit of one reward per transaction.

Target
There are a few gift card deals worth noting.  Snag a $10 gift card with the purchase of 2 qualifying Pampers diaper packs (large boxes).  Add in the coupon from last week's P&G Saver.  Also, you can get a $5 gift card with the purchase of 2 Huggies Big Pack diapers.  There are a lot of coupons for Huggies out there in mailers and through coupons.com.

Make sure to clip the pharmacy coupon!  These came in handy for us these past few weeks!

Also, my store has a ton of stuff newly on clearance including summer kids clothes.  Stock up for next season now at a fraction of the cost.

Kroger Triple Coupons!

Sooo.... I read on another blog that some WV and OH Krogers were tripling coupons up to $.50. I was intrigued. I found an old paper that I hadn't yet read and saw that it was indeed TRUE! I raced to get my Q's together and headed out. I drove the extra couple minutes across the border to OH to avoid paying sales tax on food. I saved 76%. I could have done better, but I made one mistake and indulged a little.

My total before coupons and MEGA sale was $37.88. I paid $9.79. Here's what I got!

1 tub Huggies wipes (used $.50 Q)
1 Reach floss (used $.50 Q)
12 Gerber baby food jars (used 2 $.50 Q's - made a mistake)
3 Betty Crocker Warm Delights (used 3 $.50 Q's)
2 SoBe Lifewaters (had a bogo free Q)
2 Pilsbury cinnamon rolls (used a $.40 off 2 Q)
3 Betty Crocker cookie mix packs (used 3 $.50 Q's)
2 Velveeta shells and cheese cups (used a $1 off next order catalina from last purchase, received another one for this purchase to use next time)
1 Half gallon milk
1 Kroger brand personal margherita pizza


Where did I go wrong?

• I had 3 ecoupons on my card for both the warm delights and the cookies, however, only 2 came off of each. I don't know why.
• I had a $.50 Q for 4 Beech Nut baby food jars with DHA but I grabbed Gerber ones that were on closeout instead so no Q for those (but still closeout)
• We needed milk
• I got hungry and wanted to treat myself since I've been by myself all week and will be through Sunday night with Hubby's work schedule right now. I got myself a pizza.

I was pretty pleased! I may do one more trip before the triples end this weekend.
