Pampers Village

I love Pampers Village.  I can look up information about childhood growth an development.  I can get ideas for play.  I can enter codes from Pampers products and save up for coupons and gift cards.  Just look for a little yellow sticker inside diapers and wipes.  I have even had codes print out from the catalina machine at Kroger along with other coupons.  Some codes are universal so they can be used more than once.  Simply click the image above to sign up for free! Ok - so, you may have these $3 off Huggies coupons burning a hole in your pocket.  I know I did!  The big question - where's the best place to use them?  Here are a couple ideas:

CVS - my CVS had some Huggies Mega packs on clearance for $8.99 (down from $14.xx).  Use $3 off to get a bunch of diapers for $5.99.

Kroger - Kroger is running a sale where Huggies diapers are $8.99 plus if you buy $15 in Huggies products, you get $3 off your total order.  I purchased 2 packs of diapers plus 2 packs of wipes for a total of $12 after discount and coupons! (note: I used $2/2 wipes coupons that are no longer available to print)

I have written in the past about diaper reward programs.  Both Huggies and Pampers have reward programs.  These programs are simple.  Purchase qualifying products and enter the codes on packaging to rack up points.  When you choose, you can redeem your points.  Through the Huggies rewards program, you can choose to use your points on instant win games, sweepstakes, or trade them in for prizes.  I just redeemed 300 points for a free Jumbo pack of diapers!  The Pampers program offers great prizes as well!

Amazon has some great sales on magazines right now.  I like to use my Swagbucks gift cards to get the subscriptions free or nearly free!  Afraid of the auto-renewal?  I sure was.  It is simple to cancel.  Just go into your Amazon account.  There will be a link to manage subscriptions.  This is where you can cancel the auto-renewal!  Here are a few deal highlights:

Deals I Would Do This Week - 4/25/2010

Since I am still sequestered to my house (I'm 35 weeks pregnant now and hardly any contractions!!!), I can only dream of the deals I would do.  I wanted to highlight a deal or two at the stores in our area that I would definitely do this week!  Maybe YOU can benefit from these deals!

DIAPERS!
Target has diapers on sale this week - Huggies and Pampers Jumbo packs are on sale for $8.99 and when you buy 3 packs, you get a $5 gift card.  That means, without any other coupons, after the gift card (you have to wait to use the GC until another transaction though), your total would be $7.23 per jumbo pack.  Add in some coupons for extra savings!  I have gotten many mailers with $1.50 off Pampers plus have seen them in recent inserts.  Also, Huggies put out the $3/1 pack coupons (expire REALLY soon, so use right away) and there have been coupons in recent inserts.  My Coupon Hunter has both Pampers and Huggies coupons in stock (though to get the Pampers before they expire on the 30th, you may want to do a rush order - she ships from FL).  ALSO, Target recently offered a $1.50/1 pack Huggies coupon that can be stacked.  It is not available for print right now, but keep your eyes peeled in case they offer this one up again.  View all Target coupons here.

Fig Newtons are on sale for $1 this week at CVS.  Become a fan of Fig Newtons on Facebook and get a coupon for $1 off Fig Newtons making them FREE!

Pampers jumbo packs are printing $1 extra care bucks on jumbo packs (limit one).  $8.49 sale price minus $1 ECB = $7.49 - any coupon you have.....

Schick Quattro - $8.99 with $4 extra bucks.  There is a $4 coupon in this week's Smart Source insert which would make this $.99 after coupon and extra bucks.

Rite Aid brand Tugaboos diapers and overnites are on sale for $7.99/jumbo pack (36 diapers in size 3 pack) and qualifies for a $2 rebate.  Limit one.

Desitin and Johnson's baby products - $1 in-add coupon that can be stacked with the $1 coupon from this week's paper.

There is an upcoming deal on Aveeno Lotion at Rite Aid.  This deal starts 4/25 but it includes a coupon that’s currently available. 
Starting on 4/25 there will be a single check rebate offer: Get $5 back when you buy three Aveeno products. Then, next week there will be a Rite Aid in-ad coupon for $2/1 Aveeno.  Here’s how to combine the coupons and the SCR to make money on this deal:

Check out the STORES tab to print off your copy of the Rite Aid coupon policy if you plan to stack coupons - the policy is very clear and lately it seems that there has been more confusion than normal with Rite Aid staff as they implement the Wellness Card across the nation.

Sunglasses and Rite Aid Rebates

Hi all!  Posts may be few and far between - my computer is sick.  I can use our desktop but can't do the steps multiple times per day to get to it.

So, a couple deals for now!

With summer coming, you'll want to make sure you have enough sunglasses!  I know how easy it is to misplace them - especially how quickly kids' sunglasses disappear.  Well, here's a solution.  Graveyard Mall is offering 10 pair of kids' sunglasses for $14.99 shipped!

Rite Aid's Rebate Program for May has started and runs through May 29th.  Check out all the great offerings.  Make sure to note the dates for each offering - some are good for a week, some for a month, some longer.  Here are a couple good deals (especially with $/$$ coupons and manufacturer coupons that may come out) with the rebates.  Remember, you can use coupons in addition to the rebates.

Pampers Dry-Max Buzz

So, as I was surfing around the internet today, I stumbled across hub-bub about the new Pampers Dry Max diapers.  According to many moms who previously used Pampers, once they switched to the Dry Max diapers, their babies developed severe rashes very quickly.  These rashes often bled.  Some babies were diagnosed with chemical burns.

I am curious what all of you think about this.  I am not brand loyal when it comes to diapers.  I get the diapers that cost the least.  I currently have more Pampers in my size 4 stockpile than anything else and more Huggies in my small size stockpile - it's just how the deals have worked out.  I also received a bunch of diapers from a surprise shower a few weeks ago. 

I have been leaning more towards Pampers lately mainly because of company standards.  I really like a lot of the positive things that P & G has been doing across the board - especially providing clean water to underdeveloped countries.  I was Huggies loyal for awhile, but the more I read articles posted on their website and in emails from them (articles written for various magazines), I haven't been as pleased.  Many articles are spouting completely inaccurate information - mainly regarding breast feeding - that can seriously confuse new moms.  Yeah - I get worked up over things like this and tend to hold grudges against companies!

I will say that I have not knowingly used the Dry Max diapers.  I have never had problems with Pampers or Huggies or Luvs (or store brands).  I DID do a product trial a few months back for a survey company about Pampers diapers.  I had 2 packs to try and evaluate.  Neither pack gave us any problem.  I feel there is a good chance at least one of those packs contained Dry Max diapers.

Now that I am feeling more like myself (although still on very restricted activity, I am trying to get back to a more normal posting routine.  Please bear with me over these next few weeks until Baby is here (hopefully not very soon though!).

First of all, just a friendly reminder to check your YouData accounts for ads today!  Ads are saved for the week and if you view them by Thursday, you'll be paid into Paypal on Friday!  What is YouData?  It's a site that pays you to view ads.  It takes about 20 seconds per week and pays each Friday into Paypal.  Just FYI - for some reason, when I log in, it initially says that my info is not valid, however, when I hit enter again, it goes through no problem.  Don't get discouraged!  I'm using this money as coupon-buying money!
