Stamp Out Hunger, Couponing for Community

Have you put your bag of non-perishables on the porch yet?  It's Stamp Out Hunger day!

I posted previously about Couponing for the Community and what I have been able to donate.  Thankfully, I was able to get together two bags to put on my porch this morning for Stamp Out Hunger.  I'll be taking my stockpile stash to our local health clinic this next week (unless Baby decides to come!).

So, what have YOU been able to do?  How did it make you feel? Are you inspired to do more?

We are always hearing about fantastic ways to help those in need around the globe - it is rare to hear of ways to assist those in our own backyards.  Imagine a community where everyone freely shared their surplus - babies always had diapers, children went to bed with food in their stomachs, parents had the medical supplies they need.  We can make this happen!

Couponing for Community doesn't need to be a one-time event.  Let's strive to coupon HARD and build stockpiles so we can give abundantly of our surplus.  I have loved being able to respond to needs presented by my church by simply opening my pantry and filling bags and not needing to drive to the store and spend out of our budget.  It is just an awesome feeling to be able to bless others!

Join with me in building the stockpile again to be prepared when needs arise!

Please link up your blog to share with others how you have given - spur on the community!  Encourage sacrificial giving!  Bless the socks off those in need in your backyard!  Visit other blogs who have focused on this event and support them!  Let's keep the ball rolling!  Make sure to click over to Cha-Ching on a Shoestring to see all that has been given!
