Baby is nearly 10 months old now. He gets into EVERYTHING! For example, today he tried to climb up our console stereo and tried to climb the kitchen drawers. He crawls so fast - I spend my whole day chasing him around and trying to keep him occupied. I think the last time I vacuumed the house was about 2 weeks ago (granted, we were on vacation for one of those weeks, so the house isn't quite as gross as it sounds).
Today I found something that works for us. Baby LOVES water. He LOVES swimming and taking baths. He LOVES playing in the dog dish and LOVES trying to play in the toilet. Today, I decided to go with his loves rather than against them. I gave Baby a chance to play in water in the kitchen while I got some cleaning done! I see this being a daily occurrence.
I simply put a blanket down with a plastic lid. I filled the lid with water and put some toys in.
It kept him occupied for a good 15 minutes! Works for me!

That is too cute! My youngest is at the age where he would instantly dump the water and ask for more but I will definitely keep that idea filed for if we have any more kiddos!

Baby does dump the water quite quickly too, but thankfully, for the moment, he is content to play in the droplets that are left!
